The short answer

Swerve AI is an iOS only app, so the honest short answer is that there is no Swerve AI for Android or the web and no official APK. The vendor says so on its own site: “Currently, Swerve is only available on iOS. There is no official Swerve Android app or APK yet.” Apple’s US in app purchase list, read on 3 September 2026, shows two subscriptions, Swerve Lite at $3.99 and Pro at $12.49, and Swerve’s terms confirm the billing cycle is monthly. Eight Gem packs sit on top, from $2.49 to $39.99. Tempted.ai runs in any browser on Android, iPhone, Windows and Mac for a flat $9 a month with no Gems to buy.

What makes her feel real

Swerve AI alternative, the way it should feel

iOS only, confirmed by the vendor

Swerve’s own Android page states there is no official Android app or APK yet, and warns that any Swerve app outside the App Store may be unsafe.

Two subscriptions plus eight Gem packs

Apple lists Swerve Lite at $3.99 and Pro at $12.49 a month, with eight separate Gem packs from $2.49 to $39.99 charged on top.

The Gem ladder runs backwards

The $3.99 pack is the best value on the board at 2,005 Gems per dollar. The $4.99 pack gives 1,700 fewer Gems for more money.

Is there a Swerve AI app for Android?

No. Swerve is iOS only, and the company confirms it in writing.

The page at getswerve.com/android reads: “Swerve is coming to Android soon. Currently, Swerve is only available on iOS. There is no official Swerve Android app or APK yet. Any ‘Swerve AI’ app outside the Apple App Store is not from us and may be unsafe.” A Google Play search for the app returns no MSPW Labs package. Both checks were run on 3 September 2026.

That last sentence of theirs is the part worth repeating. An app that does not exist cannot have a legitimate APK, so every file being offered as a Swerve download right now was built by somebody other than Swerve. Sideloading one means handing an unknown developer your chat history, your photos permission and whatever else the manifest asks for. The vendor is warning you off it and they have no commercial reason to do that except honesty.

Swerve does run an email waitlist for Android and web launches. If you specifically want Swerve, joining that list is the only safe route. If you want to be chatting tonight on the phone you already own, you need something that runs in a browser.

  • Vendor states plainly that Swerve is iOS only today
  • No Swerve package exists on Google Play as of 3 September 2026
  • Swerve itself warns that any Swerve APK is not from them and may be unsafe
  • An Android and web waitlist exists, with no published launch date
  • Tempted.ai needs no install and runs in Chrome on any Android phone

How much does Swerve AI cost?

Swerve Lite is $3.99 a month and Pro is $12.49 a month. Those are the two subscription products in Apple’s US in app purchase list for Swerve, read on 3 September 2026, and Swerve’s terms of service settle the billing period: “The length of your billing cycle is monthly.”

Over a year that is $47.88 for Lite and $149.88 for Pro. Our own plan is $9 a month, or $108 a year, so Pro costs $41.88 more than we do over twelve months, and Lite costs $60.12 less. We are not going to dress that up. If $3.99 a month buys you what you need from Swerve Lite, Swerve is cheaper than us and you should keep it.

The catch is the one every app in this category shares, and it is the reason a monthly figure never tells the whole story. Neither subscription is the last thing you pay for. Gems are sold separately, in eight different pack sizes, and they are where the real spending happens. The next section does that math, and the result is not what you would expect.

  • Swerve Lite: $3.99 a month, or $47.88 a year
  • Swerve Pro: $12.49 a month, or $149.88 a year
  • Swerve’s own terms confirm the billing cycle is monthly
  • Tempted.ai: $9 a month flat, $108 a year, no second currency
  • Swerve publishes no prices anywhere on getswerve.com

What are Gems in Swerve AI, and what do they cost?

Gems are Swerve’s in app currency, bought on top of whichever subscription you hold. Apple lists eight packs, from 3,000 Gems at $2.49 to 57,600 Gems at $39.99.

Run the division on all eight and something odd falls out. The $3.99 pack gives you 8,000 Gems, which is 2,005 Gems per dollar. The $4.99 pack gives you 6,300 Gems, which is 1,263 per dollar. So paying a dollar more gets you 1,700 fewer Gems, at a rate 37 percent worse. We have checked that against the store listing twice, because it inverts how these ladders normally work.

It gets stranger at the top. The biggest pack, 57,600 Gems for $39.99, works out to 1,440 Gems per dollar, which is 28 percent worse value than the $3.99 pack. In every other app we have measured, including PolyBuzz and EVA AI, buying in bulk lowers the price per unit. Here the single cheapest useful pack is the best deal on the board and the flagship $39.99 pack is not close to it.

We cannot tell you why Swerve prices it this way, and we are not going to guess at a motive. What we can tell you is the practical consequence: if you buy Gems on Swerve, buy the $3.99 pack repeatedly and skip the $4.99 and the $39.99 entirely. That is worth real money over a year and almost nobody does the arithmetic.

What Gems actually buy is not published. Swerve prints no per action price list, so there is no honest way to convert a pack size into a number of messages or images. Anyone who quotes you a per message Gem rate is guessing.

  • Eight Gem packs, from $2.49 to $39.99
  • Best value: 8,000 Gems for $3.99, at 2,005 Gems per dollar
  • Worst value: 3,000 Gems for $2.49, at 1,205 Gems per dollar
  • The $4.99 pack gives 1,700 fewer Gems than the $3.99 pack
  • The largest pack is 28 percent worse per dollar than the $3.99 pack
  • Swerve publishes no per action Gem costs, so packs cannot be converted to usage

Is Swerve AI Pro worth it?

It depends entirely on whether Pro removes the Gem spending or merely discounts it, and Swerve does not publish enough to answer that.

Here is what is knowable. Pro is $12.49 a month. Lite is $3.99. The $8.50 gap between them is the price of whatever Pro adds, and Apple’s listing names neither product’s contents. Swerve’s App Store description covers characters, personas, one to one and group chats, and collaborative stories, with no tier breakdown. So the only way to find out what your $12.49 buys is to reach the paywall in the app and read it.

The pattern that should make you cautious is the Gem ladder in the previous section. An app that keeps selling eight separate currency packs to Pro subscribers is an app where the subscription is a floor rather than a ceiling. Every companion app that runs a currency alongside a subscription works this way, and Swerve runs the largest currency ladder of any app we track.

If a predictable bill matters more to you than a character roster, that is the actual decision here, and it is not really about Swerve versus us. It is about metered pricing versus flat pricing. Some people genuinely prefer to pay for exactly what they use. If that is you, Swerve is fine and you should ignore this page.

  • Pro is $12.49 a month, Lite is $3.99, a gap of $8.50
  • Apple’s listing does not say what either tier includes
  • Gems are still sold in eight packs alongside both subscriptions
  • The only reliable source for tier contents is the in app paywall
  • Read the paywall screen before you agree to anything, including after reading this page

Can you get a refund from Swerve AI?

No. Swerve’s terms of service, section 8, consist of a single sentence: “All sales are final and no refund will be issued.”

That covers Gem purchases as well as subscriptions, and Gems are the part that matters, because a subscription at least stops when you cancel while an unused Gem balance simply sits there. Cancellation is handled entirely by Apple. Swerve’s terms say users cancel through Apple ID subscription management in iOS Settings, and that cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid term rather than immediately.

In practice Apple will sometimes issue a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com regardless of what a developer’s terms say, because Apple is the merchant of record on iOS. That is Apple’s discretion though, not a right Swerve grants you. Plan as though the money is gone once spent.

This is worth weighing against how new the app is. Swerve is nine months old. Companion apps at that stage change their pricing, their tiers and sometimes their whole model, and a no refund policy means every change lands on you rather than being unwound.

  • Swerve terms: “All sales are final and no refund will be issued”
  • The policy covers Gem packs as well as subscriptions
  • Cancellation runs through Apple ID subscription settings only
  • Cancelling takes effect at the end of the paid term, not immediately
  • Apple may still refund at its own discretion, but Swerve does not promise it

Who should stay on Swerve, and who should switch

Plenty of people should stay, and the 4.71 average across 26,537 US ratings is not an accident. Swerve is well built and people like it.

Stay on Swerve if you are on an iPhone, you enjoy browsing a large roster of characters, you want group chats with several characters at once, and collaborative storytelling is the point rather than one steady relationship. Swerve Lite at $3.99 also genuinely undercuts us, and if the Lite tier covers your use we would rather you kept your $5 a month than switched to prove a point.

Switch if any of these apply. You are on Android, Windows or a Chromebook, where Swerve does not exist and will not until the waitlist opens. You want one companion who remembers your life across months rather than a cast of characters. You want to know your bill in advance, with no currency to top up. Or you have been looking at APK download pages, in which case please stop and use something that runs in a browser instead.

What we do is narrower than Swerve on purpose. One companion, chosen from four, who texts first and remembers what you told her. Nine dollars a month, one plan, printed on the pricing page. No Gems, no packs, no tier you discover at a paywall.

  • Stay on Swerve for a large character roster and group chats
  • Stay on Swerve if Lite at $3.99 covers what you need, it is cheaper than us
  • Switch if you are on Android, Windows or a Chromebook
  • Switch if you want one companion with long term memory rather than a cast
  • Switch if a predictable monthly bill matters more than metered extras
  • Never sideload a Swerve APK, the vendor warns they are not theirs

Questions about Swerve AI alternative

Swerve is free to download and sells two subscriptions on top: Swerve Lite at $3.99 a month and Pro at $12.49 a month, per Apple’s US in app purchase list read 3 September 2026. Eight separate Gem packs, from $2.49 to $39.99, are charged on top of whichever subscription you hold.
No. Swerve is iOS only. The vendor’s own Android page states that Swerve is currently available only on iOS and that no official Android app or APK exists yet. A Google Play search returns no MSPW Labs package. Swerve runs an email waitlist for Android with no published launch date.
There is no official one. Swerve’s own site warns that any Swerve app found outside the Apple App Store is not from them and may be unsafe. Because no Android build exists, every file offered as a Swerve APK was made by someone else, and installing one means trusting an unknown developer.
Swerve Pro is $12.49 a month, which is $149.88 over a year. Swerve’s terms confirm the billing cycle is monthly. Apple’s listing does not state what Pro includes beyond the cheaper Swerve Lite tier at $3.99, so the in app paywall is the only reliable place to read the tier contents.
Gems are Swerve’s in app currency, sold separately from the subscription in eight pack sizes from 3,000 Gems at $2.49 to 57,600 Gems at $39.99. Swerve publishes no per action price list, so there is no way to work out in advance how many Gems a message or an image will cost.
The 8,000 Gem pack at $3.99, which works out to 2,005 Gems per dollar. Unusually, it beats every larger pack, including 57,600 Gems at $39.99 which returns only 1,440 per dollar. The $4.99 pack is the one to avoid: it gives 1,700 fewer Gems than the $3.99 pack costing a dollar less.
Not yet, and the vendor says so outright. The Swerve for Web page reads: “There is no official Swerve AI web version yet. Any website offering ‘Swerve AI’ chat in your browser is not from us and may be unsafe.” Read 3 September 2026. A desktop or Chromebook user cannot run Swerve at all today.
Through Apple only. Swerve’s terms direct users to Apple ID subscription management in iOS Settings or the App Store, and state that cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid term. Swerve’s refund policy is one sentence: all sales are final and no refund will be issued.
