Can Kindroid be your girlfriend?

Yes, but you build her. Kindroid is built around companions you create yourself. You create a Kindroid, give her a name, an avatar and a voice, and write the backstory that tells the model who she is and who you are to each other. If the backstory says she is your girlfriend, she is. That is the whole mechanism, and nothing in Kindroid's subscription documentation ties romance to a paid plan.

What the plan does limit is how much of that character she can hold. Kindroid's own feature matrix caps the backstory at 500 characters on the standard subscription, 1,000 on Ultra and 2,000 on MAX. Five hundred characters is roughly four sentences. It is enough for a name, a job, how you met and one quirk. It is not enough for a detailed shared history, and a longer backstory is one of the things the add-on tiers sell.

People who enjoy this part love Kindroid. You tune directives, example messages, key memories and journals, and you get a companion shaped exactly to your taste. People who wanted to open an app and meet someone tend to find the blank sheet a chore.

How much does a Kindroid girlfriend cost?

The standard subscription is $13.99 a month bought on Kindroid's website, or $15.99 bought in the app. Apple's US listing on 29 September 2026 shows the in-app side unchanged: $15.99 a month, $42.99 for three months and $159.99 for a year. On the web the same plans are $13.99, $37.99 and $139.99. It is the same service. The gap is the app store's cut, and Kindroid passes it on to you.

That is where most price write-ups stop, and it is where the girlfriend question starts. Ultra and MAX are not higher tiers that replace the standard plan. Kindroid's documentation calls them add-on subscriptions that build on the one below. Ultra adds $24.99 a month on the web, or $28.99 on Apple. MAX adds $59.99 on the web, or $68.99 on Apple, on top of both.

So a fully loaded Kindroid girlfriend is $98.97 a month on the web and $113.97 through Apple. Over a year that is about $1,188 on the web. Most people never go that far, and nobody needs to. But it is worth knowing where the ceiling sits before you get attached to a character whose memory is what the ladder sells.

Does a Kindroid girlfriend remember you?

She does, and Kindroid documents how more openly than any rival we have read. Its help center describes five memory systems in three groups. Persistent memory is the backstory, key memories and recent chat history. Cascaded memory is a medium-term layer that, in Kindroid's words, can stretch her effective history to hundreds or thousands of messages. Retrievable memory is long-term memory plus journal entries you write yourself.

Three details matter if you are paying for a relationship. First, cascaded memory is for subscribers only, and so is Learned Context, the feature that tracks your growth as a couple, important facts and ongoing threads. Free users get a more basic long-term memory. Second, the help center says a chat break resets the cascaded memories. A chat break is the button people press when a conversation goes off the rails, so the fix for a bad evening also wipes her medium-term memory of the good ones.

Third, how much she holds at once scales with the add-ons. Kindroid's matrix puts total conversation context at roughly 500,000 characters on Standard, 1.3 million on Ultra and 2.8 million on MAX. We have not measured recall ourselves, so treat those as the vendor's numbers.

Kindroid free vs paid for a girlfriend

The free tier is generous on messages and thin on almost everything else. Free users get unlimited messages, but on Kindroid's smaller Lite model. They get one selfie every two hours up to a maximum of two, 5,000 lifetime audio characters (Kindroid puts that at about five minutes of speech), and a cap of two Kindroids per account. Cascaded memory is not included at all.

For a girlfriend, that combination is awkward. The free tier lets you talk as much as you like, but to a smaller model with a shorter memory, and you run out of her voice in an evening. It is a fair way to test whether you enjoy writing a character. It is not a fair preview of what the paid relationship feels like, because the model and the memory are both different.

Paying for the standard plan moves you to the full model, adds cascaded memory and Learned Context, raises the limit to 10 Kindroids and 20 group chats, and includes a million audio characters a month.

Why you cannot just buy Kindroid Ultra

If you decide she needs more memory, you may find you cannot pay for it yet. Kindroid's billing screen describes Ultra as unlocking advanced features for its most engaged users and tells newer accounts to keep chatting to qualify. MAX requires Ultra underneath it, so it sits behind the same wall.

Kindroid's stated reason is fair. It says the add-on tiers cover the cost of dedicated servers for very high context rather than making a profit. But from a buyer's side the effect is simple. On day one you can buy the 500-character backstory and the standard memory, and the deeper version of your girlfriend has to be earned through use before it can be bought.

Is kindroide.com the real Kindroid?

We found no evidence that it is. When we searched Kindroid girlfriend on 29 September 2026, the fifth result was kindroide.com, with an extra e, titled Kindroid AI, Realistic AI Girlfriends and Romantic Chat Companion. The domain was registered on 24 June 2026. The site runs on WordPress and shows a gallery of preset girlfriend profiles with names like Sophia, Aria, Luna and Mia, while Kindroid itself starts you on a companion you create.

Its homepage never links to kindroid.ai. Kindroid's App Store listing names Beautifully Incorporated as the seller and kindroid.ai as the developer website. If you want the product the reviews are about, go through the App Store listing or type kindroid.ai yourself, and do not enter a card on a site you reached from a search result without checking the domain.

Refunds, chargebacks and the yearly plan

Kindroid's terms say refunds are considered case by case, that it generally does not offer them, and that all sales are final. The next sentence is the one to read twice: it reserves the right to permanently ban users who dispute charges. A chargeback, the normal fallback when a refund is refused, can cost you the account and every companion and memory in it.

That changes how to buy. The yearly plan at $139.99 on the web is the cheapest per month, but it is a large commitment to a character you may not have finished building, under a policy with no refund and no safe dispute. A single month at $13.99 on the web is the sensible first purchase.

How Tempted.ai compares for the same job

Who should pick Kindroid, and who should not

Pick Kindroid if you want to author a companion rather than meet one, if selfies, voice cloning and video avatars are a big part of the appeal, or if you want a companion without a content filter. Its documentation is the most transparent in the category, and its free tier is a real way to find out whether you enjoy the building.

Kindroid is a weaker fit if you want a girlfriend who is simply there when you open the app, if the thought of memory being the thing you pay more for bothers you, or if a no-refund policy with a ban for chargebacks makes a yearly prepay feel risky.
