Its own pricing answer on the same page says the yearly plan is "billed upfront as a single payment of $119.88" and adds a one-time bonus of 1,000 dreamcoins on first subscribe. Is OurDream cheaper than Kindroid?

On the annual plan, yes, and that is the part OurDream's banner gets right. $119.88 a year is $20.11 less than Kindroid's $139.99 web annual and $40.11 less than Kindroid's $159.99 in-app annual. Month to month it flips: OurDream is $19.99 against Kindroid's $13.99 on the web, so a monthly OurDream subscriber pays $72 a year more.

The catch is the way the cheap number is presented. OurDream shows $9.99 a month, but that figure only exists on the annual plan and the card is charged $119.88 on the first day. If you are not sure you will still want the app in three months, the honest comparison is $19.99 against $13.99, and Kindroid wins it.

Which one costs more if you mostly talk?

OurDream, usually, and it gets more expensive the more you use voice. Standard text replies are included on OurDream, but its better Genius model costs a dreamcoin per reply, voice calls cost 50 coins a minute and video costs 100 coins for every five seconds. A month's 1,000 coins is about twenty minutes of calls, or fifty seconds of video, or roughly a thousand Genius replies. You choose one, not all three. Kindroid never meters text at any tier. You can talk all day on the $13.99 plan without spending anything else. Voice and selfies do cost extra, through audio credits at $14.99 for 500k and selfie credits from $6.99, but a text-first user can ignore both. For conversation, Kindroid's bill is the more predictable one.

Which one has better memory for the money?

Kindroid, clearly. Its standard plan carries an 18,000 character short-term context plus 480,000 characters of cascaded long-term memory and journals you can edit yourself, so you can correct what your companion believes about you. If that is not enough, Ultra and MAX raise it further, but they are add-ons that stack rather than replace the base plan: on the web the full stack is $98.97 a month, and Ultra unlocks with account activity rather than on day one.

OurDream does describe persistent memory, but it does not publish a memory size or sell deeper memory as a tier, and some reviewers report characters forgetting details. Which one is better for images and video?

OurDream, and it is not close. It was designed as an image studio with chat attached: you build a character's look and generate pictures and short clips of her, and 1,000 coins buys about 200 standard images a month. Kindroid's selfies come from separate credit packs, 50 for $6.99 or 100 for $11.49, so 200 images a month would cost about $23 on top of the plan. If you would rather browse ready-made characters by how they look than design one from scratch, a gallery of AI girlfriends, each with her own look is another way to start.

Two OurDream rules matter before you build a big gallery. When your plan ends, every image and video you generated is blurred, along with any community packs you bought, until you subscribe again. And its help articles disagree on whether unused coins survive a cancellation, so spend them before the period ends.

Where you can use each one, and how you pay

Kindroid is in the US App Store and Google Play as well as on the web. That is convenient, but the store adds a markup: $15.99 a month in the iPhone app against $13.99 on the website, and $159.99 a year against $139.99. If you subscribe, do it on the web. OurDream has no store app at all. It runs as a web app you can add to your home screen, and it bills on its website by card or crypto, with no PayPal.

Refunds are strict on both. Kindroid's documentation says it generally does not refund and warns that chargebacks can get an account banned. OurDream refunds through a Request Help button on your profile, but refuses once more than 25 percent of a product is used, does not refund a monthly plan once its coins are spent, and never refunds crypto. In both cases, decide before you use much of the plan.

Who should pay for Kindroid and who should pay for OurDream?

Choose Kindroid if you want one companion you shape in detail, you mainly text, and you want to edit what she remembers. Subscribe on the web at $13.99, and only consider Ultra if you hit the memory limit. Choose OurDream if pictures and short videos of your character are the point, you are sure enough to pay $119.88 upfront, and you accept that the gallery locks when you leave.
