Is Talkie AI cheaper than Emochi?

Over a year, yes, if you commit. Talkie's $49.99 annual plan costs less than five months of either app's $9.99 entry tier. Month to month the two are level at the bottom and Emochi is cheaper at the top, by $8 a month. Both then add a currency: Talkie sells gems and Emochi sells Mochi coins, so the bill you actually pay depends on how much you generate, not on the plan name.

Which has better memory, Talkie AI or Emochi?

Emochi is the only one that gives a number. Reviewers who documented its tiers report roughly 18.8K tokens of memory on Plus and 26K on Ultra. Talkie does not publish a memory size for any plan, so we will not invent one. A bigger window still ends, so test it yourself: tell a character three specific things, wait a day, open a new chat and ask an open question. If the details come back, the memory is working for you.

Talkie or Emochi on iPhone?

This is the part most comparisons skip. The original Talkie app has been missing from the US App Store since Apple pulled it in December 2024, and the app that carries Talkie's prices on iPhone is Talkie Lab, from the same company. Emochi's own iPhone app is also gone. Searching Emochi on an iPhone finds EMOCHI World, published by a different company, with its own tier names and higher prices. An Android Emochi account does not carry over to it by any record we found.

So on an iPhone you are really choosing between Talkie Lab and EMOCHI World, and Talkie Lab is the cheaper of the two at every tier we compared. On Android, both apps sell through Google Play, which prints only a price range per item, so check the figure on the purchase screen before you confirm.

What happens to the gems and coins when you cancel?

Nothing good. Gems and Mochi coins are consumables, and unspent balances are generally not refunded when a subscription ends. Cancel inside the store you subscribed in, and spend or accept the loss of what is left. If you came for a flat bill, both meters work against you.

Who should pay for which

A student or anyone price-sensitive who already knows they like Talkie's characters should take the $49.99 year, because it is the lowest per-month cost in this comparison by a wide margin, and cancelling inside the store stops the renewal. Someone who runs long, detailed stories on Android and keeps hitting the memory limit is the person Emochi Ultra is aimed at, and $16.99 is a fair price for that if the reported memory window holds up in your own test. An iPhone user who has not yet paid either should start with Talkie Lab, since EMOCHI World charges more at each rung and belongs to a separate company.

Whichever you choose, keep a note of the date you subscribed and the price on the confirmation screen. Both developers change tiers and models without much notice, and the store receipt is the only record that survives.
