Talkie AI pricing: how much does Talkie AI cost, is Talkie AI free, and what the gems add on top
Most pricing questions in this category have an answer if you look at the right surface. Talkie is the one where the honest finding is that the surface is gone. Its own site has no price list, its App Store page no longer exists anywhere we could find it, and the Google Play listing shows that purchases exist without showing what they cost.

The short answer
Talkie AI is free to start, supported by ads, and runs a gem currency on top. Beyond that, nobody can quote you a verified subscription price, and that is the real answer. Talkie publishes no pricing page: talkie-ai.com/pricing renders a not found screen. Its iPhone app is gone, and not only from the US: the listing for Talkie (app ID 6450140383) returns no result in the US App Store or in eight other storefronts we checked in August 2026, twenty months after Apple pulled it in December 2024. That leaves Google Play, where SUBSUP PTE. LTD. ships it as Talkie: Creative AI Community with ads, in-app purchases, a Teen rating and more than 50 million downloads, but no subscription price in the listing. The $3.99 to $15.99 tiers repeated across review sites cite no source and contradict each other. Tempted.ai is a flat $9 a month, on the web, with memory included and no currency.

How much does Talkie AI cost per month?
We cannot tell you, and neither can anyone else writing about it right now. That sounds like a cop out, so here is the work behind it.
Search this question and you will find confident tier lists. The most common one gives Basic at $3.99, Pro at $7.99 and Premium at $15.99 a month. Others quote $9.99 to $12.99 monthly with an annual plan somewhere between $59.99 and $79.99. Those two accounts cannot both be right, they differ by roughly four times at the entry point, and not one of the pages carrying them cites a source you can open. We had a version of the $3.99 to $15.99 ladder on this site too, which is why this page exists in the form it does.
The surfaces that would settle it are unusually unavailable for Talkie. There is no public pricing page. There is no App Store listing to read an in-app purchase disclosure from. The Google Play listing confirms that in-app purchases exist and does not print a price range next to the main app. What is left is the app itself, which means an Android device, an account, and a look at your own billing screen.
So the accurate statement is narrow and true: Talkie is free to download, it shows ads, it sells subscriptions and gems, and the price of those subscriptions is not published anywhere a person can check without installing it.
- No pricing page on talkie-ai.com; /pricing renders a not found screen
- No App Store listing, so no in-app purchase price disclosure exists
- Google Play confirms in-app purchases without printing a subscription price
- The widely repeated $3.99 to $15.99 ladder cites no source and is contradicted elsewhere
- The only reliable check is your own billing screen inside the Android app
Why is Talkie AI not on the App Store?
Apple removed Talkie from the US App Store in December 2024, citing unspecified technical reasons at the time. The app had been one of the most downloaded in the US that year, so the removal was widely covered, and Talkie said it would be fixed soon. The part nobody seems to have gone back and checked is what happened next.
We checked in August 2026, twenty months later. A direct lookup of Talkie's app ID, 6450140383, returns zero results in the US store and also in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Germany, Japan, India and Brazil. This is not us failing to find it in a search box, which is a mistake worth avoiding: a search view can hide an app that is still listed. We also pulled the developer's own page. SUBSUP PTE. LTD. has exactly one app in the US App Store, a separate product called Talkie Lab, and Talkie itself is not on it.
The practical consequences are worth stating plainly. If you use an iPhone, Talkie is not an option you can install today. If you had it before the removal and still have it, you are running a build that Apple no longer distributes. And the surface that makes companion app pricing checkable, Apple's in-app purchase disclosure, does not exist for Talkie, which is a large part of why its price is so hard to pin down.
One thing this is not, despite how the question is usually phrased: it is not the same as Talkie being banned for users. The app remains on Google Play and is actively distributed there.
- Removed from the US App Store in December 2024, Apple cited technical reasons
- App ID 6450140383 returns no result in nine storefronts checked in August 2026
- Verified on the developer page, not a search view: SUBSUP lists only Talkie Lab in the US store
- iPhone users cannot install Talkie today
- Still live and actively distributed on Google Play
What are Talkie AI gems and how do you get them?
Gems are Talkie's in-app currency, and they are the reason the subscription price would not tell you your bill even if it were published.
The demand around them says a lot on its own. The most searched Talkie questions after the price are how to get gems, how to get free gems, and whether gems can be earned rather than bought. Those are not questions people ask about a currency that sits quietly in the background. They are what people ask when a balance is standing between them and the thing they opened the app to do.
What gems are spent on is chatting with characters and unlocking premium interactions, on top of whatever plan you are on. That is a meaningfully harsher shape than the credit systems on Nomi or Kindroid, where text conversation is never metered and the currency only touches images, video or extra companions. When the currency reaches the conversation itself, the subscription is a floor rather than a price.
We are not going to quote you gem pack prices. Consistent with the rest of this page, there is no listing to read them from, and the figures floating around trace back to the same unsourced articles as the subscription tiers. If you are running the Android app, the gem shop inside it is the only place those numbers are real.
- Gems are Talkie's in-app currency, sold in packs and also earned in app
- Gems are spent on chatting and premium interactions, not only on images
- How to get gems and how to get free gems are among the most searched Talkie questions
- Harsher than credit systems that leave text chat unmetered
- No public listing exists to verify gem pack prices
Is Talkie AI free, and what does the free tier include?
Talkie is free to download and free to start, and it pays for that with advertising. Google Play's listing for the app carries both the Contains ads and In-app purchases labels, which is the vendor's own declaration rather than an outside opinion.
That combination is the thing to understand before you decide it is the cheap option. A free tier funded by ads and a gem balance is not the same as a free tier funded by a hope you will upgrade. The friction is the product design: ads interrupt, gems run out, and both nudge in the same direction.
The listing tells you a few other things worth knowing. The app now ships as Talkie: Creative AI Community, a rename from Talkie: Soulful AI, under SUBSUP PTE. LTD., with more than 50 million downloads and a 4.6 star average from about 826,000 reviews. It is rated Teen. That last one is a genuine surprise for an app widely used for romantic roleplay, and it is worth weighing if you are handing a phone to someone in your household or if you expect adult conversation to be supported.
On safety, since it is the other question people ask: SUBSUP PTE. LTD. is a Singapore company connected to the Shanghai AI firm MiniMax. That is not a scandal by itself, and it is a fact worth knowing before you type personal details into it, particularly given that the App Store removal happened against a backdrop of US scrutiny of Chinese owned apps.
- Free to download, with ads, per Google Play's own Contains ads label
- Now listed as Talkie: Creative AI Community, renamed from Talkie: Soulful AI
- More than 50 million downloads, 4.6 stars from about 826,000 reviews
- Rated Teen despite heavy romantic roleplay use
- Published by SUBSUP PTE. LTD., a Singapore company tied to MiniMax
How to check what Talkie AI costs before you pay
This takes about five minutes and it beats every article on the subject, including this one, because it returns your price rather than a general one.
Start with the store listing, not the marketing site. On an Android phone, open the Google Play page for Talkie and look under the install button for the In-app purchases line. If a price range is shown there, that is the real span of what the developer sells, because Google generates it from configured products rather than from copy.
Then open the app and go to the subscription screen before you tap anything. Write down the plan name, the amount, and the billing period together. The billing period is where people get caught: a plan advertised at a low number is sometimes weekly, and a weekly plan at $3.99 is $207 a year, not $48.
Next find the gem shop and note the smallest and largest pack. That range tells you the ceiling the app is designed around. If the largest pack is $99.99, the app expects some people to spend that.
Finally check what the subscription does not cover. Ask specifically whether chatting still draws gems while subscribed. On Talkie that is the whole question, and it is the difference between a $10 month and an open ended one.
If you cannot complete those steps because you are on an iPhone, that is your answer for now, and it is the cleanest argument for picking something that runs in a browser instead.
- Read the Google Play in-app purchases line before installing
- Record plan name, amount and billing period together, never the amount alone
- A $3.99 weekly plan is $207 a year
- Note the smallest and largest gem pack to see the ceiling
- Ask whether chatting still costs gems while subscribed

App Store absence verified by direct lookup of app ID 6450140383 across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Germany, Japan, India and Brazil storefronts, and cross-checked against the SUBSUP developer page rather than a search view. The absence of a pricing page verified by loading talkie-ai.com/pricing, which renders a not found screen. Verified August 2026.
