OurDream is $19.99 a month or $119.88 a year, and it buys image and video generation with 1,000 dreamcoins a month that also pay for calls and its better reply model. OurDream vs Janitor AI, the short answer

Pay for Janitor+ if you mostly write long roleplay in text and your problem with the free tier is that characters forget. $12.99 a month fixes exactly that, and the new annual option brings it to $8.25 a month. Pay for OurDream if you want to design a character's look and generate pictures and short clips of her, because that is what its plan and its coins are built around. Pay for neither if you want one girlfriend who remembers your week and texts you first, with nothing metered; that option is near the end.

What OurDream and Janitor AI cost, side by side

OurDream's prices come from the Offer entries in the structured data on its homepage, which on 20 October 2026 still listed a Monthly plan at $19.99 and an Annual plan at $119.88. The coin costs come from its help center, which we read in full on 7 October. Janitor's prices come from its own announcement of janitor+ in June and from Apple's in-app purchase list for Janitor: Interactive Stories, app 6692609366, seller JanitorAI, INC.

How much does OurDream AI cost?

OurDream costs $19.99 a month, or $119.88 a year paid upfront. The $9.99 on its banner is the annual price divided by twelve, and OurDream's help center says plainly that the annual plan is billed once and "you are NOT charged every month." Both plans unlock unlimited messages with any character, image and video generation, and 1,000 dreamcoins every month. Annual subscribers also get a one-time bonus of 1,000 coins.

The coins are where the real bill lives. OurDream's own price list charges 50 coins a minute for voice calls, 100 coins for every 5 seconds of standard video, and 1 coin per reply on its Genius models. A month's allowance therefore buys about 20 minutes of calls, or 50 seconds of video, or about 200 standard images. You pick one, not all of them. How much does Janitor AI cost?

Janitor AI is free to use, and janitor+ costs $12.99 a month. On 20 October 2026 Apple's list for the app also showed a new entry, "Janitor+ Annual", at $99.00. It was not there when we read the same list in September, and Janitor's June announcement only described the monthly price, so the yearly plan is recent. Apple does not describe what the annual product contains beyond its name, and we could not see Janitor's web checkout, because janitorai.com blocks outside requests. What janitor+ buys is spelled out in Janitor's own subscription FAQ: "5x more context for better memory", "priority access for faster replies" and "monthly swipes with our best models", plus two cosmetic perks. The free tier keeps unlimited chats and "a context limit of around 9k tokens". The one open-ended cost is the Router, a wallet that lets subscribers reach third-party models without setting up a proxy and bills per token at provider cost. Which is cheaper, OurDream or Janitor AI?

Janitor is cheaper on every like-for-like comparison. Month to month it is $12.99 against $19.99, a gap of $7.00 a month or $84.00 a year. On the annual plans it is $99.00 against $119.88, a gap of $20.88. And Janitor's free tier is a real product with unlimited chats, while OurDream's free account charges a coin for every message.

The comparison only flips if you count what OurDream includes that Janitor does not sell at all. Two hundred standard images a month, or a few short clips, has a value if pictures are why you are there. Janitor has no image or video generation in its plan, so if you want visuals, the cheaper subscription is the one that cannot give them to you.

Watch the extras on both sides. OurDream's top-ups are only sold to active subscribers and priced inside your profile, and a single 60-second video costs more than a whole month of coins. Is OurDream or Janitor AI better for roleplay?

For long, text-heavy roleplay, Janitor is the better tool, and it is not close. Context is what a long scene runs on, and janitor+ is essentially a context upgrade at $12.99. Janitor's website is also known for being more permissive than most, and its library of user-made characters is enormous.

OurDream is built around the character's look. You design her, generate pictures and clips of her, and chat alongside. Its standard chat model is free for subscribers, but the better Genius model charges a coin per reply, which makes long scenes on the good model expensive in coins. What happens when you cancel

This is the biggest practical difference after price. When an OurDream plan ends, every image and video you generated is blurred, along with any community packs you bought, and its help center tells you to download anything you want to keep. Leftover coins should be treated as lost, because two of OurDream's own articles disagree on whether they survive. Refunds are by request, and nothing is refunded once more than a quarter of a product has been used.

On Janitor, canceling janitor+ drops you back to the free tier with its 9k-token context. Your chats stay. Any Router balance you topped up is not refunded. If you bought through Apple, you cancel in your Apple subscriptions, and if you take the annual plan, that is a year's commitment made in one payment, so try the monthly plan first.

Who should pay for which

Pay for janitor+ if you roleplay long scenes in text and want characters to keep track of them. It is the cheaper subscription, it now has a yearly option at $99.00, and its free tier is generous enough to test properly before paying.
