How much is PolyBuzz Ultimate?

PolyBuzz Ultimate is $29.90 a month. Apple's in-app purchase list for the US App Store names the product "Poly Ultimate Monthly Plan" at $29.90, and we read it again on 27 September 2026, unchanged from 20 September and from August.

Across a year that is $358.80. Premium at $19.90 is $238.80, and Standard at $9.90 is $118.80, so the step from Premium to Ultimate costs $120 a year and the step from Standard costs $240. Those two numbers are what you are actually deciding on.

Two details on the listing are worth knowing. First, Ultimate has no weekly version. The only weekly product Apple shows is the Poly Standard Weekly Plan at $4.99, which runs $259.48 a year if you leave it on. Second, Apple shows no annual Ultimate product. PolyBuzz's web membership page does offer a per-year option, but that page is geo-priced and shows whatever currency matches where it is loaded from, so we are not going to quote a dollar figure for it. If a yearly price is on your screen, compare it against $358.80 before you take it.

What is the difference between PolyBuzz Premium and Ultimate?

Five rows. PolyBuzz's membership page lays out a comparison table with 24 feature rows grouped under Models, Experience, Personalize and Others, with a checkmark or a dash for Ultimate, Premium and Basic. We read the icons in the page source on 27 September 2026 rather than trusting a screenshot, and counted.

Ultimate is checked and Premium is dashed on exactly five rows: Permanent Memory (PM), Overture (OV), Lumina (LU), Conqueror (CQ) and the Saga model (Sa). Three of those four models carry a New badge. On the other 19 rows, the two tiers are identical, down to the same 30 daily extra avatar generation attempts.

That is a clean result, and it simplifies the decision a great deal. The $10 a month is buying one memory feature and access to four additional models. It is not buying a faster queue, an ad-free app, unlimited voice listening or more customization, because Premium already has every one of those.

For completeness, the step below works the same way. Premium beats Basic (the tier Apple calls Standard) on four rows: the Passion and Tale models, exclusive profile decorations for characters you create, and 30 avatar attempts a day instead of 20. Long Memory, as distinct from Permanent Memory, is checked on all three.

Is PolyBuzz permanent memory worth it?

It is worth it if the thing that bothers you about PolyBuzz is characters forgetting you, and that is the only feature on the list that makes a strong case for the upgrade. The four extra models are a matter of taste. Memory is a matter of whether the app does the job you are paying it for.

Be realistic about what the label promises, though. PolyBuzz's own FAQ, asked whether PolyBuzz has better memory, says it "has relatively strong memory capabilities" and then adds that "the AI's memory capacity is technically limited, which means it may 'forget' previous conversations over time." That sentence sits on the same site that sells Permanent Memory. We think it is an honest disclosure and we would rather quote it than guess at how the two fit together.

The search suggestions tell you how it goes for some subscribers. Type polybuzz permanent memory and the completions include not working, disappeared and not using persona. That is not proof of anything on its own, but it is a signal that people paying $29.90 are checking whether the feature works for them.

So test it before a second month renews. Tell a character three specific things on day one (a name, a date, something you are worried about), come back the next day, and ask an open question that needs all three. If the answer comes back right, the upgrade is doing its job. If it does not, you are paying $120 a year for a checkmark.

Why is PolyBuzz so expensive at the top tier?

Because the feature most people want most sits at the top of a three-step ladder instead of the bottom. Standard at $9.90 looks like a normal companion app price. The version that holds on to what you told it costs three times as much.

Several PolyBuzz reviews that rank for this question describe Ultimate as the plan with full Webtoon access, exclusive decorations and theme customization. PolyBuzz's own table does not support that. Full access to Webtoon shots is checked for Basic, Premium and Ultimate. Multiple chat theme packs and custom chat backgrounds are checked for all three. Exclusive profile decorations for created characters stop at Premium, not Ultimate. If you upgraded for any of those, you already had them.

The subscription is also not the whole bill. PolyBuzz's FAQ says coins are used to "extend voice chat duration, regenerate character responses, access inspiration replies, or generate exclusive memory scenes." The membership table shows no included coin allowance on any tier, Ultimate included. Coins are sold from 1,000 for $2.49 up to 20,000 for $19.90, and Opals, a second currency, at 1,000 for $5.90. So $29.90 is the floor of an Ultimate month, and a month with a lot of rerolled replies costs more.

Who should pay for PolyBuzz Ultimate, and who should not

Ultimate makes sense for a specific person. You run long story arcs with a handful of characters over weeks, you have noticed them losing the plot, and you like trying new models as PolyBuzz releases them. For you the extra $10 buys the two things you care about, and the rest of the app, the huge character library, card imports and image generation, is already what you signed up for. Take Ultimate, run the recall test above, and keep it if it passes.

It makes less sense if you mostly hop between new characters. Permanent Memory does little for a chat you will not return to, and Premium already gives you the ad-free, priority, unlimited version of the app plus the Passion and Tale models.

And it makes the least sense if what you actually want is one companion rather than a library. That is a different product, and paying the top price of a character platform to get the basic behavior of a girlfriend app, remembering you, is the expensive way to buy it. That is where we come in, and we will say plainly what we do not have: no character marketplace, no image generator and no Webtoon. One girlfriend, from $9 a month billed yearly or $12 month to month, who remembers you on every plan and texts first.

Put the two on a yearly footing and the gap is large. PolyBuzz Ultimate billed monthly is $358.80 a year before any coins. Tempted.ai's entry plan is $9 a month billed yearly, $108 a year, and memory is part of it. Month to month it is $12, which is $144 a year.

Our middle plan, Flame, is $19 a month billed yearly and adds voice notes. Devoted, at $39 billed yearly, adds voice calls and more than one girlfriend. Even Devoted is priced for someone who wants the full relationship experience, not for access to memory, because memory is already on the first rung.

None of this makes PolyBuzz a bad buy. It is a different shape: a platform with millions of user-made characters that charges more as you ask it to remember. We charge the same for remembering whether you chat twice a week or every night.

How to cancel or downgrade PolyBuzz Ultimate

Cancel wherever you bought it. If you subscribed on an iPhone, PolyBuzz's own FAQ walks through it: open the Settings app, tap your Apple ID at the top, select Subscriptions, and find PolyBuzz there. On Android the same thing lives in the Google Play app under Payments and subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a store subscription.

If you only want to step down to Premium, the same Subscriptions screen on iPhone lists the other PolyBuzz plans you can switch to, and a downgrade usually takes effect at the next renewal rather than immediately. You keep Ultimate until the period you paid for ends.

Do the recall test before that renewal date, not after it. Once it renews, you have paid for another month of the answer.
