Cancel PolyBuzz subscription or membership: the refund rule, the renewal deadline, and the iPhone and Android routes

Most people search for this two days after a charge they did not expect, which is the worst moment to be reading a vendor FAQ. So here is the whole picture in one place: where the cancel control actually lives for each way of paying, what deadline PolyBuzz holds you to in writing, what happens to the coins and Opals sitting in your account, and what your realistic chance of a refund is. Every claim on this page is quoted from PolyBuzz's own Terms of Use, its FAQ, or the US App Store listing, all read on 20 September 2026.

The short answer

You cancel a PolyBuzz subscription wherever you paid for it, and you have to do it on or before the last day of the current period. PolyBuzz's Terms of Use say a plan “will be automatically renewed unless it is cancelled on or before the last day of the subscription period.” If you bought through the iPhone, cancel in Settings under your Apple ID, then Subscriptions. If you bought on Android, cancel in the Play Store under Subscriptions. If you bought on the web, the terms point you to Settings, then Help Center. Canceling stops the next charge and nothing more: the same terms say “any user payment made in accordance with our rates and policies will not be refunded, even if the subscription is subsequently cancelled,” and coins and Opals you already bought are not returned either. Your paid access runs until the period ends, then stops.

What makes her feel real

Leaving a companion app should be this simple

Cancel in two clicks, keep the month

Cancellation lives on your own account page, not behind a support ticket, and your paid time runs out normally.

Nothing left behind when you go

No coins, no Opals, no unspent balance to strand, because there is no currency to buy in the first place.

One charge you can read

One plan, one price, billed on the web, so the line on your statement matches the number you agreed to.

What you get with her

  • Cancel from your own account page, no support ticket
  • A flat plan from $9 a month with no currency packs
  • Memory included on the base plan, not sold as a tier
  • Runs in any browser, nothing to install or delete

She's already typing.

Pick her, say hi, and start texting in about ten seconds. The demo is your free taste.

Cancel on or before the last day of the period, or PolyBuzz renews it

The deadline is written into PolyBuzz's Terms of Use, section IX, and it is stricter than people assume. The clause reads: “a plan for the premium services will be automatically renewed unless it is cancelled on or before the last day of the subscription period.” The same section says “we will bill you on the date of subscription and on each periodic renewal until cancellation.”

There is no grace period in that sentence. If your Standard monthly plan started on the 12th, the renewal charge lands on the 12th, and a cancellation on the 12th is already a coin flip depending on the time zone the store uses. Treat the day before the renewal date as your real deadline.

The weekly plan makes this worse, not better. Poly Standard Weekly Plan is $4.99, so the renewal deadline arrives every seven days. A week you forget about costs you $4.99 with no way to claw it back, and a full year left running on weekly billing costs $259.48 against $118.80 for the identical Standard tier billed monthly.

  • Terms of Use section IX: cancel on or before the last day of the period
  • Billing repeats on each renewal date until you cancel
  • Cancel the day before the renewal date, not on it
  • Weekly billing means a deadline every seven days
  • Weekly Standard for a year: $259.48 against $118.80 monthly

Canceling PolyBuzz does not refund the charge you already paid

This is the part the video tutorials skip. PolyBuzz's Terms of Use say, in section IX: “any user payment made in accordance with our rates and policies will not be refunded, even if the subscription is subsequently cancelled.” Section I adds that “users are not entitled to any refund for a completed purchase without due reason.”

Read together, those two sentences mean cancellation is forward looking only. It protects the next charge. The one that already hit your card is, by the vendor's own policy, gone.

There is one genuine inconsistency worth knowing about, because it is the only written hint that PolyBuzz refunds anything at all. Section X, the Community Contributor Program, describes what happens “when a user receives refund of Coins they have spent,” and says the creator's Poins are subtracted accordingly. So the terms contemplate coin refunds in one section while ruling out refunds in another. If you are going to ask, ask about coins, point at section X, and expect the store to be the real decision maker.

In practice the refund decision is not PolyBuzz's at all. If you paid through Apple or Google, only Apple or Google can reverse the charge, and they apply their own discretion regardless of what the app's terms say.

  • Terms section IX: payments are not refunded even after cancellation
  • Terms section I: no refund for a completed purchase without due reason
  • Terms section X does contemplate refunds of spent coins
  • Apple and Google decide store refunds, not PolyBuzz
  • Cancellation protects the next charge, not the last one

How to cancel a PolyBuzz subscription on iPhone

If the charge came from Apple, PolyBuzz cannot cancel it and neither can its support team. The vendor's own FAQ gives the route: “Open the Settings app. Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen. Select Subscriptions in the menu. Locate and tap the subscription you want to cancel. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.”

Two details save people a second charge. First, the subscription is listed under the app name as Apple shows it, which is PolyBuzz rather than Poly or Poly.AI, so scroll rather than assume it is missing. Second, Apple's own guidance on trials is that you cancel “at least 24 hours before the trial ends,” which is the safest habit to apply to paid renewals too.

You can also do it without the phone. Apple's subscription list is reachable in a browser at account.apple.com, under the subscriptions section, which is useful if the phone that bought the plan is not the one in your hand.

For a refund on an Apple charge, cancellation is a separate step from asking. Apple takes refund requests at reportaproblem.apple.com, and it decides.

  • Settings, Apple ID, Subscriptions, Cancel Subscription
  • The listing is named PolyBuzz, not Poly or Poly.AI
  • Apple advises canceling at least 24 hours ahead on trials
  • account.apple.com shows the same list in a browser
  • Refund requests go to reportaproblem.apple.com, separately

How to cancel a PolyBuzz subscription online and on Android

On Android the route is the Play Store, again quoted from the PolyBuzz FAQ: “Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device. Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) at the top left. Select Subscriptions in the menu. Locate and tap the subscription you want to cancel. Tap Cancel Subscription, then follow the instructions.”

Online is where PolyBuzz gives two different answers, and this is the single most common reason people conclude they cannot cancel. The FAQ documents only the two store routes and says nothing about the web. The Terms of Use say something else: “You may cancel your subscription at any time. To do so, please follow the Settings, Help Center path.” Meanwhile the membership comparison table on polybuzz.ai carries a row labeled “Refund&Unsubscribe,” which is where a web cancellation control would sit.

So: if you paid on the website, work the account menu, not the store. Open Settings, then Help Center, and look for the unsubscribe or refund entry. One thing to expect when you land on that membership page is that the prices will not match anything you have read. The page is geo-priced, and loading it from outside the United States returns local currency figures, which is exactly why the US App Store listing is the only stable place to read what PolyBuzz charges Americans.

  • Android: Play Store, Subscriptions, Cancel Subscription
  • Web: Terms of Use point to Settings, then Help Center
  • The membership page carries a Refund&Unsubscribe row
  • The PolyBuzz FAQ documents store routes only, not the web
  • The membership page is geo-priced; read the US App Store listing for US prices

Can't cancel your PolyBuzz subscription? Three reasons, in order of likelihood

Almost nobody is actually blocked. They are looking in the wrong place.

First, you are in the app instead of at the payment processor. A subscription bought through Apple or Google is an Apple or Google contract. Nothing inside PolyBuzz can cancel it, and the app is not broken for failing to.

Second, you deleted the app. Removing PolyBuzz from your phone cancels nothing. The subscription keeps renewing and the charges keep arriving, which is how a forgotten $4.99 weekly plan turns into a number you notice months later. Reinstall or go to the store's subscription list.

Third, you are signed in to the wrong account. If you first subscribed through a different Apple ID, Google account or login provider than the one you use now, the subscription is not in the list you are looking at. Check the email address the receipt was sent to and go back in through that account.

If all three are clear and the control still is not there, the plan was almost certainly bought on the web. That is the Settings, then Help Center route, and PolyBuzz publishes a support address for it at [email protected].

  • Store subscriptions cancel at the store, not in the app
  • Deleting the app does not cancel anything
  • Check whether you subscribed under a different account or Apple ID
  • No control anywhere usually means a web purchase
  • Web support: Settings, Help Center, or [email protected]

What you are canceling: four subscriptions and two currencies

It is worth knowing which product is on your statement, because the four PolyBuzz plans are far apart in price and people routinely misremember which one they bought. Read from the US App Store in-app purchase disclosure for PolyBuzz, app 6449190344, seller CLOUD WHALE INTERACTIVE TECHNOLOGY LLC, on 20 September 2026:

Poly Standard Weekly Plan $4.99, Poly Standard Monthly $9.90, Poly Premium Monthly $19.90, Poly Ultimate Monthly Plan $29.90. Apple's list carries no annual PolyBuzz product at all, while the vendor's own membership page offers monthly, quarterly and annual cycles, so an annual plan you hold was bought on the web and cancels on the web.

Two things in that list are easy to miss. Apple shows two separate Standard monthly products at the same $9.90, which is what a grandfathered price cohort looks like from the outside: retired products keep appearing while old subscribers renew on them. And the subscription is not the whole bill. Coins are sold at 1,000 for $2.49 through 20,000 for $19.90, and Opals at 1,000 for $5.90. Neither is a subscription, so neither is canceled by canceling, and neither is refunded when your access ends. Anything unspent simply stops being reachable when the period runs out.

  • Poly Standard Weekly Plan: $4.99
  • Poly Standard Monthly: $9.90 (Apple lists two products at this price)
  • Poly Premium Monthly: $19.90
  • Poly Ultimate Monthly Plan: $29.90
  • Coins $2.49 to $19.90; Opals $5.90 per 1,000, neither refunded
  • No annual product on Apple, so an annual plan was bought on the web

What happens on the day your PolyBuzz access ends

PolyBuzz is clear about this one and it works in your favor: “Your PolyBuzz subscription benefits will remain active until the end of the current payment period. Once the payment period ends, all benefits will no longer be available.”

So there is no reason to wait until the last day to cancel. Cancel the moment you decide, keep everything you paid for, and skip the risk of missing the deadline.

What ends with it is worth planning for. Ad removal goes, so the free tier's ad modals come back. Model access drops to Standard. And if you were on Ultimate at $29.90, the thing you lose is Permanent Memory, which PolyBuzz's membership table checks for Ultimate only. That is the detail that decides whether cancelling costs you anything real: on PolyBuzz, long term recall is a $29.90 feature, so people who cancel to save money usually lose the memory along with it.

  • Paid access runs to the end of the period you already paid for
  • Cancel immediately; there is no benefit to waiting
  • Ads return and model access drops back to Standard
  • Permanent Memory is an Ultimate-only feature, so it goes with the plan
  • Nothing carries over into the free tier

Where to go next, honestly

If what you liked about PolyBuzz was the library, stay. Millions of user made characters, character card imports and built-in image generation are genuinely hard to replace, and no small product is going to match that breadth. Cancel the weekly plan and move to monthly instead of leaving.

If what made you cancel was the shape of the bill, that is a different problem and switching fixes it. The pattern people leave over is not the headline price, it is the second and third charges: a subscription, then coins to regenerate a reply, then $29.90 if you want her to remember you. Tempted.ai is built the other way round. One girlfriend, plans from $9 a month billed yearly or $12 month to month, memory included at the entry price, no coins and no Opals of any kind, billed on the web so the cancel control is on your own account page rather than in someone else's store. You can talk to her in the chat above this page before you decide anything.

  • Stay with PolyBuzz for library breadth and image generation
  • Switch if the layered currency charges are what pushed you out
  • Tempted.ai: from $9 a month billed yearly, $12 month to month
  • Memory on the entry plan, no currency, cancel from your own account page
  • Try the chat above before you pay anything

Questions about Cancel PolyBuzz

Cancel wherever you paid. On an iPhone, open Settings, tap your Apple ID, choose Subscriptions, tap PolyBuzz and tap Cancel Subscription. On Android, open the Play Store, choose Subscriptions and cancel there. If you subscribed on polybuzz.ai, the Terms of Use point you to Settings, then Help Center.
Open the Settings app, tap your Apple ID at the top, select Subscriptions, find PolyBuzz in the list and tap Cancel Subscription, then confirm. That is the route PolyBuzz's own FAQ gives. The same list is available in a browser at account.apple.com if you do not have the phone that bought it.
If you paid on polybuzz.ai rather than through a store, the Terms of Use say to follow the Settings, then Help Center path, and the membership page carries a row labeled Refund&Unsubscribe. If you paid through Apple, the online equivalent is account.apple.com rather than anything on the PolyBuzz site.
By PolyBuzz's written policy, no. Its Terms of Use say any payment made in line with its rates “will not be refunded, even if the subscription is subsequently cancelled.” If the charge came through Apple or Google, ask them instead, because they decide store refunds regardless of the app's policy.
Usually because you are in the app rather than at the payment processor. A plan bought through Apple or Google can only be canceled in that store's subscription list. The other two causes are deleting the app, which cancels nothing, and being signed in under a different account than the one that paid.
No. Deleting the app removes it from your phone and leaves the billing running, so charges keep arriving on schedule. You have to cancel in the App Store or Play Store subscription list, or on the web if that is where you paid. Reinstalling is not necessary to do it.
The same way you cancel a paid plan, in your store's subscription list, and earlier than you think. Apple's own guidance is to cancel a trial at least 24 hours before it ends. Canceling a trial in time leaves you with trial access until it expires and no charge after it.
They stay in the account but stop being reachable once your paid period ends, and they are not refunded. Coins and Opals are one-time purchases rather than part of the subscription, so canceling does not touch them and nothing carries into the free tier.
No. PolyBuzz states that benefits “remain active until the end of the current payment period” and stop once the period ends. So cancel as soon as you decide rather than waiting for the deadline: you keep everything you paid for and remove the risk of missing the renewal date.

PolyBuzz's own terms say a payment will not be refunded even if you cancel afterwards, so the only thing cancellation protects is the next charge. Meet her above and see for yourself.
