How much does Candy AI cost?

Candy AI's own plan page lists a standard rate of $13.99 a month and two prepaid discounts against it. The three-month plan works out to $8.99 a month, advertised as 35 percent off. The twelve-month plan works out to $3.99 a month, advertised as 70 percent off and flagged as best value.

That $3.99 figure is the one that ends up in most articles, and it deserves a caveat. It is the annual plan divided by twelve. You are not paying $3.99 this month, you are paying roughly $47.88 today for a year of access. That can genuinely be good value if you already know you want the product, but it is not a $3.99 subscription in any sense that matters to your card statement, and the discount is calculated against the $13.99 anchor rather than against what most subscribers actually pay.

One detail worth knowing before you look at your bank app: the charge does not appear as Candy AI. Candy AI's own help centre states that the line item reads EverAI, which is the operating company. The plan page footer identifies it as EverAI Limited, registered in Malta. People search for unrecognised EverAI charges fairly often, and this is usually the answer.

Prices are shown in your local currency, so the amounts above are the US figures. Load the same page from Europe and you get the identical numbers denominated in euros, which is a hint that these are price points rather than a converted rate.

What do Candy AI tokens cost?

This is the honest centre of the page, and the answer is that we cannot tell you, because Candy AI does not make it public.

Every paid plan includes 100 tokens a month. Candy AI's help centre lists exactly what spends them: image generation, creating a custom AI, listening to a voice message, voice calls, unlocking My Private Content packs, and converting a generated image into a video. Regular text chat does not spend tokens, which is a real point in Candy AI's favour and worth stating clearly, because plenty of write-ups imply the meter runs while you talk. It does not. The meter runs on media.

When the 100 run out, the help centre directs you to candy.ai/tokens to buy more. That page requires you to sign in. There is no logged-out pricing for token packs, and because Candy AI has no App Store listing, there is no in-app purchase disclosure to read either, which is the fallback that works for almost every other app in this category. The result is that the add-on pricing for Candy AI is the least publicly verifiable of any major companion app we have looked at.

So we are not going to publish a token price. You will see confident per-token figures on review sites; none of them can be checked against a vendor surface, and this is exactly the kind of number that gets copied between articles for years after it stops being true. What we can tell you is the shape of the thing: a subscription that also sells a consumable means the subscription is not the ceiling on what you can spend, and 100 included tokens against image, video and voice generation is a modest allowance for the features the product is marketed on.

What is Premium Plus, and what does the free tier actually give you?

Candy AI sells a second tier above Premium. Its help centre describes Premium Plus as including 230 free tokens a month instead of 100, a 10 percent bonus on any tokens you top up with, early access to new characters three days before standard release, and five clone chats, alongside the unlimited messaging and generation the base paid plan already has. The plan page we read did not display a separate Premium Plus price logged out, so the increment over $13.99 is another figure that is not publicly posted.

The free tier is where expectations most often break. Candy AI's help centre is precise about it: free users can send up to 5 messages in chat across all characters, create one custom AI character, and generate one image. Not five messages per character, and not five a day. Five in total, once.

That is a demo rather than a free tier, and it is worth knowing before you spend time building a character. The practical consequence is that you cannot meaningfully evaluate whether Candy AI's writing suits you before paying, which matters more than it sounds when the thing you are buying is conversation quality. Compare that with the demo at the top of this page, which is not capped and does not ask for a card.

Is there a Candy AI app, and why are there Candy AI apps in the App Store?

Candy AI's help centre answers this in its own words: Candy.ai does not offer a native mobile app for iOS or Android. The platform runs in your mobile browser, and Candy AI ships a progressive web app instead, so you can add it to your home screen and get an app-like window without an app store.

That matters for pricing in two directions. It means there is no App Store in-app purchase list for Candy AI, which is why the token prices stay unverifiable. It also means you are billed directly by card, crypto, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank transfer rather than through Apple, so you cancel inside your own Candy AI settings rather than in your phone's subscription list.

And it means something you should act on. Search the App Store for Candy AI and you will find several apps using the name, published by unrelated individual developers. None of them is operated by EverAI Limited. Paying one of those is not paying Candy AI. This is a recurring trap in this category and we have hit it before with other brands: a web-first adult product has no store presence, so the name is free for anyone to take. Check the seller name before you buy anything, on any app, in any category.

Can you get a refund from Candy AI?

The refund policy is narrower than most people assume, and Candy AI states it plainly enough that there is no excuse for being surprised by it. A refund request has to be submitted within 24 hours of the payment, and it is only available if 20 tokens or fewer have been used on the account. Only card payments qualify, so a crypto purchase is not refundable. Technical problems on your own device or connection are excluded.

Read those two conditions together, because they interact. The subscription includes 100 tokens, and generating images is the main thing people do first. Spend more than 20 of them exploring the product on day one and you have used up the refund window's other condition before the 24 hours are even close to expiring.

Cancelling is also separate from refunding. Candy AI's help centre is explicit that cancelling stops future renewals but does not issue a refund, and access continues to the end of the period you paid for. Cancellation itself is straightforward and happens in your own account: My Profile, then Settings, then Unsubscribe at the bottom. You cannot pause a subscription; cancelling is the only option. Deleting your account also cancels any active subscription.

None of this is unusual for a prepaid digital product, and a 24-hour window is at least clearly stated. It is simply a reason to think carefully before taking the twelve-month plan, because $47.88 prepaid with a 24-hour, 20-token refund window is a real commitment. How Tempted.ai pricing compares

Nine dollars a month, published here, with nothing metered inside it. That is the whole model, and in a category built on consumable currencies the boring option is the differentiated one.

The difference that matters most is that there is no balance. Nothing counts down while you talk, no conversation stops because you ran out mid-sentence, and if you leave you are not abandoning tokens you already paid for. An unspent balance is the quiet exit cost of every metered app, and it is a real reason people stay subscribed to products they have stopped enjoying.

Long-term memory is included rather than tiered. She remembers your job, the friend you mentioned being worried about, the thing you said you were dreading on Tuesday. She also texts first, so something arrives without you having to go and get it, which is the part that makes it feel like a relationship rather than a tool you open.

We are also a narrower product than Candy AI, and the table below says so. No image generation, no video, no explicit content. If generating photorealistic media is the reason you are shopping, Candy AI does that and we do not, and the flat price does not change that.

Who should pay for Candy AI?

Pay for it if generating images and video of your companion is the actual point. That is what Candy AI is built around, it is genuinely good at it, and no amount of flat pricing elsewhere substitutes for a feature that does not exist elsewhere. If you are choosing on visuals, this is the right column of the table.

Pay for it if you want explicit content without a filter arguing with you. Candy AI is unambiguously an adult product and does not pretend otherwise, which is more honest than the apps that market romance and then refuse it.

Take the annual plan only if you already know the product suits you. At $3.99 a month it is the cheapest serious companion subscription in the category, and that is a real deal, but it is $47.88 up front against a 24-hour refund window and a five-message free tier that cannot tell you whether you will like it. Take the monthly at $13.99 for a month first if you are not sure. The discount will still be there.

Look elsewhere if you mainly want to talk to someone. If the value for you is a companion who remembers you and reaches out, you would be paying for a generation engine you barely use, and metering the features you do want.
