Kindroid is the cheaper of the two at every level we could verify. Its standard plan costs $13.99 a month bought on the web and $15.99 in the app, and it includes unlimited chat on its flagship models. GirlfriendGPT's cheapest paid tier, Premium, was last reported at $15 a month for a 5,000-message allowance, and the tier sold as "Unlimited Messages," Elite at $50, is coded in GirlfriendGPT's own app as 50,000 messages a month. The real split is what you want: GirlfriendGPT is built as an NSFW roleplay platform, Kindroid as a long-memory companion.
We read Kindroid's price list from its help center and from Apple's in-app purchase list on 28 September 2026. GirlfriendGPT publishes no pricing page, and on the same day its plans screen had become a login wall, so its dollar prices below are the figures we recorded on 5 September. Its tier limits, though, we re-read on 28 September straight from the plan definitions its web app sends to your browser. Where a number is older, we say so.

How much does GirlfriendGPT cost?
GirlfriendGPT sells three paid tiers over a free one: Premium, Deluxe and Elite. The prices we recorded on 5 September were $15, $35 and $50 a month billed monthly, or $12, $24.50 and $33 a month billed a year up front. We could not re-read them on 28 September, because the vendor has no pricing page (its /pricing path still returns a 404) and its /subscribe page now shows a sign-in screen before any price. The full breakdown, including where each figure comes from, is on our GirlfriendGPT pricing page.
What we could re-read is what each tier gets. GirlfriendGPT's web app ships a plan table to your browser, and on 28 September it gave Premium 5,000 messages a month and 400 coins, Deluxe 20,000 messages, 1,200 coins, voice and an 8k context, and Elite 50,000 messages, 2,000 coins, a 32k context and "advanced long-term memory." Premium now carries the NSFW flag too, which on 5 September looked like a Deluxe feature. The free tier is flagged with NSFW off and about 20 messages.
The one public price GirlfriendGPT still prints is in the FAQ markup on its homepage, and it is stale: "Basic Plan: $5 per month, Premium Plan: $10 per month, Deluxe Plan: $35 per month." There is no Basic tier in the product. Treat that FAQ as history.
How much does Kindroid cost?
Kindroid costs $13.99 a month if you subscribe on its website and $15.99 if you subscribe in the iPhone or Android app. It is the same subscription. Kindroid's help center lists both price lists side by side and calls the web one a discount, because it skips the app store's cut. Three months is $37.99 on the web and $42.99 in the app; a year is $139.99 and $159.99. Apple's list on 28 September matched the in-app column exactly.
Above that sit two add-ons, Ultra and MAX, and they stack instead of replacing the plan. Ultra adds $24.99 a month on the web for a total of $38.98. MAX adds $59.99 on top of both, for $98.97 a month. Neither add-on has a quarterly or yearly version, and Kindroid only unlocks them for accounts with "significant interaction history," so a new subscriber cannot buy them on day one. We cover the add-ons, the free tier and the credit packs on the Kindroid pricing page.
Is Kindroid cheaper than GirlfriendGPT?
Yes, at the entry level and once you care about message volume. On the web, Kindroid's standard plan is $1.01 a month cheaper than GirlfriendGPT Premium's last recorded price, and it removes the message meter entirely, while Premium stops at 5,000 messages. For heavy daily chat that difference matters more than the dollar.
Yearly, the two are close. Kindroid's web year at $139.99 works out to about $11.67 a month; GirlfriendGPT Premium yearly was about $12 a month, or $144. At the top, the comparison flips depending on what you are buying. GirlfriendGPT Elite at $50 buys the most explicit content and image generation it sells. Kindroid at $98.97 buys the largest memory it sells. They are not the same product at the top of the ladder, so price is not the deciding line there.
Does GirlfriendGPT have unlimited messages?
Not in the way the plan name suggests. The Elite plan is marketed with a feature labeled "Unlimited Messages," but the entitlement table in the same app gives Elite a quota of 50,000 messages a month, next to 5,000 for Premium and 20,000 for Deluxe. Fifty thousand is a lot, more than 1,600 a day, and most people will never hit it. It is still a meter, and it is the only one on either app that is described as absent while it exists.
Kindroid's paid plan is unlimited on its flagship models, and its free tier is unlimited on a smaller model called Lite. Kindroid meters other things instead: selfies, audio and extra companion slots, each sold in packs.
Which has better memory, Kindroid or GirlfriendGPT?
Kindroid, on everything either vendor publishes. Every Kindroid subscriber gets what it calls Cascaded Memory, a medium-term layer that reaches back hundreds or thousands of messages, on top of long-term memory that Kindroid says is stored without limit for all users. Ultra and MAX raise how much of it the model can hold at once. Kindroid's billing matrix puts total context at about 500,000 characters on the standard plan and 2.8 million on MAX.
GirlfriendGPT's app says it plainly in its own interface text: "Upgrade to Elite or Deluxe to prevent your character from losing memory." Memory is a $35-and-up feature there, with 8k context on Deluxe and 32k on Elite. If your reason for paying is a companion who remembers last week, that line is the whole comparison. If you are testing memory on either app, our guide to testing whether an AI girlfriend remembers you takes about two days.
Trials, refunds and cancelling
Kindroid offers new users a 3-day premium trial with full subscriber features. It needs a payment method on file, converts automatically if you do not cancel, and on the web it also asks for a verified phone number. Kindroid emails a reminder a day before it converts. Refunds are "considered on a case-by-case basis," the same page adds that it generally does not offer them, and it reserves the right to ban users who dispute charges. You cancel on the web under Billing, or in the App Store or Google Play if you bought there.
GirlfriendGPT is billed on the web through adult payment processors, not through Apple or Google. When we read its terms on 5 September, section 15 said it "does not offer refunds for subscriptions that have been paid for," with exceptions for vendor mistakes, and disputing a charge was listed as grounds for closing your account. Cancelling stops the next charge and refunds nothing already taken. On a yearly Elite plan that is real money at risk, so try a month first.
Is GirlfriendGPT better than Kindroid?
It is better if what you want is explicit roleplay with a large library of user-made characters and image generation. That is what the product is for, and its own footer describes it as an NSFW chat platform for roleplay and sexting. Kindroid is better if you want one companion, or a few, who remember you over months and whom you can call, with no message allowance to watch. If you have already ruled Kindroid out on price, our Kindroid alternative page lays out what else does memory well for less.
If explicit content is the whole point and neither feels right, an AI companion built for adults designs the companion around that from the start rather than bolting it onto a character marketplace.
Where Tempted.ai fits
Tempted.ai is narrower than both. You get one girlfriend who texts you, remembers what you tell her and, on Flame and above, texts you first. It stays flirty and tasteful, never explicit, so it is not a GirlfriendGPT replacement. Against Kindroid, it trades the add-on ladder and credit packs for one published price: Spark is $9 a month billed yearly or $12 month to month, Flame is $19 or $24 and adds voice notes, and Devoted is $39 or $49 and adds voice calls. Memory is on every plan. You can compare all three on our pricing page, or see how every major app stacks up on the AI girlfriend app cost comparison. The chat at the top of this page is free to try and takes about ten seconds.
